Terms of Use
1. Acceptance
By accessing this website or engaging Blockhouse Design Studio (operated by Verreum Kreations LLP, hereinafter “BDS”) for any service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use this website or our services.
2. Services
BDS provides interior design, project management consultancy (PMC), turnkey project execution, custom furniture design and manufacture, and modular kitchen design. The specific deliverables, scope, fees and timelines for each engagement are defined in a separate written agreement (Letter of Intent or Project Agreement) signed by both parties. These Terms apply in addition to any such agreement.
3. Quotations & Fees
All quotations are valid for 30 days from date of issue. Quoted fees are exclusive of applicable taxes (GST) unless explicitly stated. Fees are based on the scope discussed at the time of quotation; any change in scope will be reflected in a revised quotation or variation order.
4. Payment Terms
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the standard payment schedule is: (a) 50% of the design fee upon signing the project agreement; (b) 25% upon design concept approval; (c) 25% upon project handover. For execution-stage work, material and contractor payments follow the schedule in the agreed BOQ. Invoices unpaid beyond 30 days attract interest at 18% per annum. BDS reserves the right to suspend work on accounts with overdue invoices.
5. Intellectual Property
All design concepts, drawings, 3D renders, specifications and creative outputs produced by BDS remain the intellectual property of Verreum Kreations LLP until full payment has been received. Upon receipt of full payment, you receive a perpetual, non-exclusive licence to use the designs solely for the specific project described in the project agreement. Reproduction, resale or use of designs for other projects or purposes requires our prior written consent.
6. Photography & Portfolio Rights
BDS reserves the right to photograph completed projects and use such images for portfolio, marketing, press and awards submissions. Your name and personal details will not be disclosed without your explicit permission.
7. Client Responsibilities
You agree to: provide accurate project information and site access; make timely decisions on design approvals and material selections; ensure site conditions meet minimum standards required for execution; and make payments on schedule. Delays caused by late client approvals or site access issues will affect project timelines and may attract additional fees.
8. Scope Changes & Variation Orders
Any change to the agreed scope must be submitted in writing. BDS will issue a Variation Order specifying additional fees and timeline impact. Work on the variation will not commence until the Variation Order is accepted in writing by both parties.
9. Delays & Force Majeure
BDS will notify you promptly of any foreseeable delay. Neither party shall be in default for delays caused by events beyond their reasonable control, including natural disasters, government orders, supply chain disruptions, labour disputes or pandemic restrictions.
10. Warranty & Defects
BDS provides a 12-month workmanship warranty from the date of handover, covering defects in installation and materials supplied by BDS. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, unauthorised modification, or normal wear and tear. Manufacturer warranties on products and materials are passed through to you directly.
11. Limitation of Liability
BDS’s total liability in connection with any project shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to BDS for that project. BDS is not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental or punitive losses, including loss of profit or loss of use. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
12. Website Disclaimer
Content on this website is provided for general information only. Project images represent past work; outcomes may vary. BDS makes no warranty that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any part of the website without notice.
13. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute shall first be attempted to be resolved by mutual negotiation within 30 days of written notice. If unresolved, disputes shall be referred to arbitration in Ahmedabad under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, before a sole arbitrator mutually agreed. The courts of Ahmedabad, Gujarat shall have exclusive jurisdiction for non-arbitral matters.
